Overview
The BEAM1224 and BEAM1224S are single-ended, reflected-type projected beam smoke detectors designed for open-area protection in facilities where traditional spot smoke detectors are impractical. Ideal for large spaces with high ceilings—such as warehouses, atriums, auditoriums, and manufacturing plants—these detectors offer reliable smoke detection across distances of up to 328 feet (100 meters) when used with an optional long-range kit.Utilizing a transmitter and reflector setup, the BEAM1224 series monitors for smoke by detecting changes in light obscuration between the beam emitter and reflector. When smoke particles block the light path, the system triggers an alarm based on programmable sensitivity settings.
